Good evening, Eagle Families!
This is Principal McGeachy with your updates as we enter the month of October. I have several important items that I want to make you aware of:
· This week, scholars in all EOC classes will once again take NC Check-ins to help prepare them for EOC tests at the end of the semester. The check-ins are an integral part of classroom instruction, and therefore it is important for scholars to be in attendance.
· For those scholars who are car riders, the D Building parking lot will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 5th, and Friday, Oct. 6th. During dismissal on those two dates, scholars can be picked up from the Science and Technology Building parking lot. This parking lot is located near the Old Carriage Road entrance to the Nash Community College Campus.
· The grading period for the first nine weeks ends on Friday, October 6th.
· Lastly, the UNC System of colleges will be offering virtual Open House tours this week. A link containing participating colleges and their respective dates is available on our school’s web page.
Continue to monitor our web page for additional updates, and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Also occurring last week, our 9th-grade scholars had an enjoyable visit to the campus of NC Wesleyan University, and the university staff were very complimentary of how our scholars conducted themselves.
