Good afternoon, NCPS Family:
The following email was sent to parents on Monday, August 19, 2024. If you did not receive this email, please be sure to check with your child's school during Open House to ensure they have your correct contact information on file.
We hope you had an enjoyable summer and are excited to welcome you back to the 2024 school year! As mentioned in our last parent/guardian newsletter, NCPS has switched student information systems over the summer. We are no longer using PowerSchool or Parent Portal; instead, we've transitioned to the new NCSIS, powered by Infinite Campus.
So, what does this mean for you? You will receive an email from Infinite Campus to set up your account. Parents and Guardians, please look for an email titled "NCPS Campus Parent User Account Activation." This email will contain a unique link that provides the activation code for each student.
Will we still use Rooms? Absolutely! Rooms will continue to be used for communication between your child’s teacher and you, the guardian. (The new classes will not go live until Open House!)
Will we still use the NCPS App? Yes! The NCPS App is on a different platform and is not changing.
When will you be able to see your child’s classes? They will be available on the day of Open House.
The only difference is that PowerSchool Parent Portal is now Infinite Campus. What you were familiar with as Parent Portal is now called Campus Parent and Campus Student.
Campus Parent and Campus Student, the Infinite Campus web portals and mobile apps, provide parents, guardians, and students with real-time access to grades, attendance, assignments, and schedules.
Key Features:
• Assignments - Browse assignments by specific class or due date.
• Attendance - Review attendance events in summary and detail form.
• Academic Plan - View the courses a student has planned to take in each school year.
• Grades - Immediate access to grades as they are posted.
• Schedule - Review schedule from anywhere, at any time.
• Documents - Explore files such as report cards and unofficial transcripts, forms, program participation and more.
• Notifications - List of notifications received, such as graded assignments
We are excited about providing you with an easy-to-use, one-stop-shop for your child’s educational information! Visit ncsis.gov to learn more.
There will be a virtual information session coming up soon, please click here to learn more about that webinar.
Please contact your school for more information.
Thank you,
