I want to thank all of our families that came out for our Trunk or Treat event this past Friday evening. It was a great time. I hope you all enjoyed the positive event that brings us all together for one thing, Our Kids!
I am excited to announce that we will have a new teacher starting in our 4th grade math on Monday, October 21st. Ms. Freeman will be joining or “rejoining” our team for 4th grade math. You may remember her as a part of our staff last year. I was so fortunate to get her back for us again this year. Welcome Back Ms. Freeman!
This week is a short week for us at The Nest. Thursday is an Early Release Day for all Nash County Students. SHES will dismiss students at 1:00 on Thursday, October 24th.
Please know the 21st Century Boys & Girls Club will not meet on early release days. Students will be sent home their regular mode of transportation.
Friday is a teacher workday, so there is no school or Boys & Girls Club for students on Friday, October 25th.
We have some assessments coming up in our schedule. The NC Check-In assessment for 5th Grade Science will be administered on Monday, October 28th.
The Fall read to Achieve Assessment will be administered for select students on October 29th.
Just a heads up, our Parent-Teacher Team will be meeting November 12th at 6:00 PM. We will be discussing funding updates, update on our new school sign, Updates on a new playground and looking forward to a Holiday Movie Night for families in December.
