I hope everyone enjoyed some Thanksgiving time to be with family or friends. We are now headed into the Holiday season and it will go by fast.
Please remember the importance of attendance. This includes arriving to school late and checking out early. Our daily schedule is full with instruction occurring in the morning and in the afternoon. Arriving late and checking out early disrupts that process. Keep this in mind when planning your schedules and appointments.
We have a few Holiday assemblies coming up for students. Please encourage your child to be a positive representer of your family and our school by being on their best behavior. The holidays bring excitement and the last thing on their minds is Reading and Math, but we must press on.
This week, Friday, December 6th, the High School Band from Southern Nash High School will be visiting to bring some Holiday music to our students. We will be on a special daily schedule this day to allow for this assembly. Lunch times will be different for students to fit it all in.
Looking ahead, we have a few dates to remember.
Tuesday, December 10th, we are scheduled for a Parent-Teacher Team Meeting. Please plan to attend our media center at 6PM for this meeting.
Friday, December 13th, we are excited to announce our upcoming Holiday Concert, “December Nights, December Lights,” which will take place on December 13 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium of Spring Hope Elementary School. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their talents and celebrate the holiday season with our school community. our 4th and 5th grade students will be presenting. We will be having a shortened daily schedule to allow for this as well, so, again, lunch times will be adjusted. We will let you know the schedule in advance for planning.
Thanks for your attention and it is a pleasure to serve as your Principal.
