It seems we are on the North Carolina Weather coaster. It will be cool this coming week after the heat gave us a taste of summer last week. So be prepared for jacket weather this week.
Our Candyman fundraiser is continuing until April 11th. Please help us with your support.
Promotion Status letters went out this past week for some of the grade levels. The letters are to indicate that your student needs to buckle down over the next month to be successful and to not have a retention meeting in May. This is not a retention matter at this time, but data suggests that your child is at risk for retention consideration. If you received a letter, please either send it back with a meeting time request or call the school to set up a meeting with our team.
Tuesday is our monthly Parent Teacher Team Meeting. We will be finalizing plans for Teacher Appreciation and Field Day preparations. Please come if you can. The meeting is at 6:00PM
We are keeping a close watch on our instructional days left until MClass and EOG testing. We will begin End Of Year MClass Testing at the end of the month (April 30). We have 28 days until the EOG testing window opens.
Last week I shared dates to remember until the end of school. I will keep resharing those dates for you in email, webpage and Facebook to keep everyone up to date.

Dates to Remember:
· March 31 through April 11 is our K-2 Math EOY Math Assessment.
· April 2 is an Early release Day at 1:00
· April 17th is currently set for our Field Day Activities. Parents are invited to enjoy the day and lunch from our cafeteria if you choose.
· April 18 through April 25 is our Spring Break.
· April 30 through May 21 is MClass EOY Assessments for K-3 Students. Please remember that these assessments are 1 to 1 with the teacher.
· May 12 through May 22 will be Retention Meetings with Parents.
· May 14 is an Early release Day at 1:00
· May 23 is the Science EOG for 5th grade students only
· May 26 is Memorial Day Holiday and there is no school
· May 27 is ALL MATH Day for EOG Review for grades 3 through 5
· May 28 is Math EOG for grades 3 through 5
· May 29 is ALL READING Review for Grades 3 through 5
· May 30 is Reading EOG for grades 3 through 5
· June 5 is Awards day with K-2 in the morning and 3-5 in the afternoon *this is tentative for now* I will confirm in later messages.
