I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and enjoyed a great Mother’s Day! I hope you had the time to appreciate and spend some time with the Motherly person in your life.
As we start a new week we are drawing nearer to the school year Supper Bowl of End Of Grade Testing. We have 10 instructional days left before we enter testing mode. As I have said every week, Attendance is CRUCIAL beginning now! PLEASE help by having students stay the entire day for review!
I also want to remind everyone of the RESET procedure we are doing for student behavior during this time. I want everyone in the classes to get review time and small group time, but if they choose to distract or disrupt, they will be removed from the classroom. Thanks for any helpful words to your child about this.
I have provided important dates still remaining for us at the end of this message and in your email. Please note the days in RED which are testing days. We need EVERY Student in grades 3-5 to be here those days. If we do not test 100% , it counts against us.
I don’t want to scare anyone or add more stress, but we are 1 point away from going back into “low performing” status with our testing outcomes. This is, indeed, too close for comfort and I believe in our teachers and students to try their best to keep us moving forward. I want this for the students and teachers. They have all worked so hard this year.

Important Dates
· April 30 through May 21 is MClass EOY Assessments for K-3 Students. Please remember that these assessments are 1 to 1 with the teacher.
· May 12 through May 22 will be Retention Meetings with Parents.
· May 14 is an Early release Day at 1:00
· May 23 is the Science EOG for 5th grade students only
· May 26 is Memorial Day Holiday and there is no school
· May 27 is ALL MATH Day for EOG Review for grades 3 through 5
· May 28 is Math EOG for grades 3 through 5
· May 29 is ALL READING Review for Grades 3 through 5
· May 30 is Reading EOG for grades 3 through 5
· June 5 is Awards day with K-2 in the morning and 3-5 in the afternoon *this is tentative for now* I will confirm in later messages.
