EOG Added Opportunity

We had many students make the proficient score on the EOG assessments. However, we also had many that were so close to meeting the state proficiency of level 3, but missed it. We are offering an extra opportunity to retake the test next week. This is an “Added Opportunity” to meet proficiency. Many of the students that did not meet were just 1 to 5 points away from success. Please check your child’s bookbag for an invitation to the Added Opportunity. The Added Opportunity will run as follows:

Monday, we will be having a full remediation day to help students get over the wall of non-proficiency. Tuesday, June 10th we will reassess students on the Math EOG Added Opportunity. Wednesday, June 11th, we will reassess students on the Reading EOG Added Opportunity. Buses will run their regular routes on these days for students who usually ride the bus.

The remediation day on Monday will be from 8:00 to 3:00, just like a regular school day with lunch and then the bus will bring them home.

Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be taking the EOG Added Opportunity Test. both days will run from 8:00 to 1:00 with lunch and transportation for those who usually ride the bus.

Please help us by having your child here the days listed in this message. Even if your child was not close, they deserve another chance and I also must justify their promotion by letting them try. EOG scores are part of the data review for promotion or retention. If you receive an invitation to this 2nd chance, please use it.

Thanks for your attention and your support. We are so close to making success. Please help by checking for your child’s invitation to the Added Opportunity. As always it is a pleasure to serve as your Principal.
